Tech Free Weekend - We disconnected to connect!
Over 115 children and some parents took part in our device-free challenge last weekend!
"I managed to complete the challenge but I did find it quite hard. It was the small things which I found tricky, for example using a map around York. Instead of using devices, we spent a day in York looking at the Ice Sculptures. Being device-free, gives people time to spend with their family." Joseph, Year 6 Digital Leader.
We have had a really positive response to our device-free weekend, 115 children (and some parents) took part in the challenge and have sent in photos doing lots of different activities. Please send into school any pictures you took over the weekend of children and adults going 'tech-free' for our display.
Sponsorship forms and money should be returned to school by 15th February. We'll announce how much we raised then.
The new Clip n' Climb in Leeds have kindly donated a prize of a free ticket for 4 to climb. Here's what Alex from Clip n' Climb said “As a keen promoter of the benefits of fun, physical activity Clip n’ Climb Leeds is thrilled to be supporting Bramhope Primary School’s no tech challenge and hope the winner and their family has a brilliant time climbing away their ‘no-tech blues'.” The winner will be announced shortly!
Once again, well done to everyone that took part. We hope you continue to find no-tech time fun.
